The Calumet County Town Road Improvement (TRI) Committee voted Oct. 27, 2025, in Chilton to award entitlement funding to the Town of Charlestown and the Town of Brillion. Committee member Joe Kuhn moved and Mark Wunrow seconded the motion to "award the funds to Town of Charlestown and Town of Brillion." The motion carried unanimously.
The entitlement awards fund two named projects: Town of Charlestown — Hickory Hills Road pulverize and pave; and Town of Brillion — Schmidt Road culvert and pavement replacement. Each township will be awarded $34,521.13 of funding. The committee minutes recorded that projects funded in the 2026–2027 cycle will have a sunset date of June 30, 2031. The award and sunset date were entered into the meeting record by the acting secretary.
