Stockbridge Lake Street tops MSID priority list; Sherwood and Chilton follow

At its Oct. 27 meeting the MSI Committee applied safety, reconstruction need, traffic volume and comprehensive planning criteria to rank MSID candidates, placing Stockbridge's Lake Street first, Sherwood's Military Road second and Chilton's Water Street third.
The Calumet County MSI Committee on Oct. 27 prioritized three discretionary (MSID) candidates after evaluating each for safety, reconstruction need, traffic volume and alignment with comprehensive plans. Jason Meyer moved to rank the projects with Stockbridge’s Lake Street first, Sherwood’s Military Road second and Chilton’s Water Street third; the motion was seconded by Andrew Maertz and carried unanimously.
Projects reviewed were: Village of Stockbridge — Lake Street (CTH E within village limits) from STH 55 to Union Street; Village of Sherwood — Military Road (CTH M within village limits) from STH 55/114 to Kesler Road; and City of Chilton — Water Street reconstruction from Breed Street to Grand Street. Committee members explicitly applied the four prioritization criteria to produce the ranking that will guide discretionary funding consideration and automatic submission to the MSIS (supplemental) list.
