MSI Committee awards $47,251.13 each to Sherwood and Stockbridge for 2026–27

The Calumet County Municipal Street Improvement Program (MSI) Committee voted Oct. 27 to award 2026–2027 entitlement funding to the Village of Sherwood and the Village of Stockbridge. The committee approved a motion by Jason Meyer, seconded by Greg Zickuhr, to allocate $47,251.13 to each municipality. The motion carried unanimously.
Sherwood’s entitlement award will fund reconstruction of Palisades Trail and Escarpment Terrace, cited in the application for failing pavement, inadequate shoulders and stormwater drainage improvements. Stockbridge’s award will fund reconstruction of Lake Street (CTH E within village limits) from New Street to STH 55. Projects awarded funding for the 2026–2027 cycle will have a sunset date of June 30, 2031, as recorded by the committee.
