County Administrator outlines winter road maintenance changes, audit RFP timeline and courthouse access status

County Administrator Lee Engfer updated the Committee of the Board on several operational matters. He said the county issued a public message about highway winter road maintenance that addressed resident concerns and informed the public that "their feedback matters," and described changes being made to improve road safety.
Engfer also said the county is in the process of finalizing an audit firm; requests for proposals are due soon and department heads have been notified about standard audit items that will be required. He added that restricted courthouse access "will remain in place at this time." No formal actions were taken on these items during the Jan. 22 meeting.
