The Iron County Memorial Building Committee reviewed emailed financial statements for December at its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting. The profit-and-loss for the month showed a deficit of ($3,034.13), and the cash balance on Dec. 31, 2025 was $30,359.61, information provided to the committee by email from Brea Lombardo.
Committee member Larry Youngs said he would contact Lombardo to confirm that the organization can file the IRS 990-N for the year. A meeting participant identified as Opie suggested exploring use of the downstairs bowling-alley space as a youth center or arcade if the current operator, Karen, stops running the facility in the spring; the committee also noted that the downstairs area needs cleaning before any new use is developed.
The committee did not take a formal vote on repurposing the space at the Jan. 12 meeting; discussion was recorded as an item for future consideration. The financial figures and the 990-N filing were recorded as action items to follow up on before the next meeting.
