Facilities staff presented slide images and progress updates on multiple campus projects, including renovation of the high-school gym floor with new court striping and emblems, shade structures and new concrete at the CTA (career/technical) building to support welding and carpentry programs, and new electrical and sanitation capacity at the FFA small-animal and hog barns.
The presenter described steps taken to protect the gym floor (new catch-all entry carpeting and finish work) and showed portable-classroom exterior repairs, junior-high library renovations with new shelving and counters, and repaired walkways at Freedom and other elementary sites to remove tripping hazards. Board members praised the work: "It brightens things so much ... it looks wonderful," one member said. The district said some projects were delayed by materials but are now moving forward and that final finishes and vendor-supplied stage padding remain under review to improve safety for student athletes.
