Denton County honors scouts completing Citizenship in the Community merit badge

A county museum representative told the court 27 scouts completed the badge this cycle and about 11 were attending the meeting. "We actually had 27 scouts complete their merit badge this time," the representative said, and praised volunteers who helped run the program. Judge Eads read a resolution naming the scouts and the court approved the proclamation unanimously.
The proclamation highlights skills scouts demonstrated—research, communication, community activism and public speaking—and encourages continued civic involvement. Commissioners offered congratulations and urged the scouts to stay engaged in Denton County civic life.
