Support staff raises reporting‑structure and wage‑study concerns; updates county website and food pantry stats

Rebecca Holm, who provided support‑staff reports, said the Iron County Mobile Food Pantry served 99 households (160 individuals) during the Jan. 5 distribution and noted a Dec. 29 distribution was canceled due to weather. Holm said she now uses the county mass notification system to reach clients and that 260 community members subscribe to the monthly Extension e‑newsletter. She also reported 34 pairs of snowshoes were checked out this season and managed 4‑H equipment checkouts (32 youth).

Later in her report Holm raised a personnel concern: she asked the committee to clarify who supervises her county‑related work (duties that fall outside Mary Pardee’s Extension Supervisor role), when her position description will be updated to reflect additional responsibilities, and pointed to a wage‑study discrepancy that assigned her a lower pay grade because county duties had not been considered. Chair Roxanne Lutgen suggested referring the matter to the Finance Committee and reviewing relevant employee‑handbook reclassification steps; Pardee asked that clarification about oversight be included in the request.
