Joseph Miller, Community Development educator, reported on multiple economic development activities. He said the Rural Entrepreneurial Ventures (REV) program held an eReady virtual session on Sept. 24 and a Sept. 30 kickoff with Extension Data Specialist Matt Kunes; the planned Hurley location is under reconsideration for Mercer and Miller will meet UW Extension REV Specialist Lisa Taylor to discuss logistics. Miller also summarized a November 2025 in‑person town hall led by MSA Professionals on Hurley’s Tax Increment District #4 and said information was distributed to affected tax parcel owners.
Miller described a Jan. 5–9 Entrepreneur Boot Camp that had eight participants and invited 23 regional entrepreneurship and small‑business support organizations. He said he provided a letter of support for a WEDC Small Business Development grant and will assist during the grant lifecycle with programming.
