Extension committee approves minutes and financials, honors outgoing members

The Iron County Extension Education Committee convened at 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 20, 2026, at the Iron County Courthouse in Hurley. Committee Chair Roxanne Lutgen called the meeting to order and Rebecca Holm recorded roll; Mullard moved to approve the Sept. 17, 2025 minutes, seconded by William Thomas, and the motion carried unanimously. Thomas then moved to approve Extension and 4‑H and Youth Programs financial reports through Dec. 31, 2025; Doug Swartz seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
County Board Chair Larry Youngs used the public‑comment period to recognize three committee members—William Thomas, Paul Mullard and Doug Swartz—who are concluding their terms and are not seeking re‑election. The committee expressed appreciation for their service. The meeting adjourned at 11:11 a.m.
