The Human Services Board approved Resolution 2026-4052 on Jan. 19 to authorize advertising for an ADRC Information & Assistance Specialist and forwarded the measure to the county Finance Committee for further action. Cally Bucknell told the board the vacancy "is in our 2026 budget and was created when Gerard Randall accepted the Veteran’s Service Officer position." The resolution will appear on the Finance agenda on Jan. 20.
Board members agreed to forward the resolution rather than delay recruitment; the motion was made by Jennifer Rye, seconded by Tom Innes, and approved unanimously. The action establishes the department’s intent to fill the advertised position subject to Finance review.
