Resident urges paving or dust control for West 319th Street after visibility, safety concerns

Rosemary Begley said the stretch of West 319th Street near Schweitzer now has about 13 houses and that heavy dust makes it dangerous to drive, particularly after the speed limit was raised. "It brings up so much dust that you can't even see the oncoming cars," Begley said, adding that neighbors have paid for dust control intermittently but the cost is burdensome.
Begley also raised pothole and maintenance concerns and asked the commissioners whether the county could take steps to make the road safe for pedestrians and drivers. The board did not take immediate action during public comment but staff later offered to follow up with Planning and Road & Bridge staff.
