Whalen said the first year of the agreement is $240,135.32 and that annual increases average roughly 3.4%, bringing the five‑year total to $1,285,945.91.
Whalen said the agreement covers equipment at six radio tower sites, the sheriff’s IT room and tower-mounted equipment, and that the county saves money by using in-house staff for non‑Motorola equipment maintenance. A motion to extend the contract was made on the record and the board approved the agreement 4-0.
