Winn Parish approves routine invoices, contracts, insurance and personnel renewals

At the Dec. 16, 2024 meeting the Winn Parish Police Jury approved a set of routine financial and contract items. The Jury voted to approve monthly and weekly invoices totaling $496,655.27 covering the General Fund, Road Fund, Health Unit, Sales Tax, Library and other funds; the bill-approval report was signed by Frank McLaren, Deionne Carpenter and Kyle Potts.
Other routine actions approved included renewal of the mowing contract with J.T.'s Lawn Care for calendar year 2025; renewal of the contract for Cindy Tilton as OEP Director for 2025; and renewal of workers' compensation insurance for 2025 through A.J. Gallagher & Company at a premium of $24,964.71 (Bridgefield Casualty Insurance Company as the carrier). Each of these motions passed by recorded vote with six jurors in favor and one abstention where noted in the minutes.
The Jury also adopted a calendar of 2025 regular meeting dates and approved minutes from previous meetings. These approvals finalize contracts and routine financial housekeeping in advance of the 2025 fiscal year.
