The St. Helena Parish Police Jury opened a 2025 budget hearing and, after receiving no public comment, unanimously adopted the parish’s 2025 calendar-year budget on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024. The motion to open and the motion to adopt were moved by Warren McCray Jr. and seconded by Ryan Byrd, with the jury voting in favor on both motions.
At the same meeting the jury also approved amendments to the 2024 budget and acknowledged receipt of the monthly budget-to-actual comparison and financial reports prepared by Sibley & Newell, CPA. The minutes record these actions as unanimous motions; the record does not include verbatim public testimony for the hearing.
