Winn Parish Jury approves two full-time hires with benefits

The Winn Parish Police Jury voted to make two parish employees full-time with benefits at its Nov. 18 meeting. On motion by Mrs. Deionne Carpenter, the Jury declared Mr. Ernest Basham a full-time Mechanic’s Helper/Truck Driver with benefits; the motion carried (6 yeas, 0 nays, 0 absent, 1 abstained).
Later in the meeting, Mrs. Carpenter moved to declare Mr. Montez Perry full-time Truck Driver 1 with benefits; Mr. Phillip Evans seconded the motion and it was approved (6 yeas, 0 nays, 0 absent, 1 abstained). Jurors discussed the appointments with Road Superintendent Perry Holmes before the votes.
