Commission approves juvenile delinquency prevention grants, AED grant application and funding moves for soccer complex and mowing contract

County staff also approved moving designated funding into the capital fund to advance the Whitesville Road Soccer Complex project; staff said the project would begin scheduling mowing and other work as contract completion neared and that payment would be monthly. Separately, staff discussed using general-fund money to pay for a vertical mowing contract, with work expected to begin in late August or early September and to take about six months.
All grant actions and funding motions were moved, seconded and approved by the board during the meeting.
