Steve Pulliam presented an application for an agritourism pick-your-own operation on 15 acres of a 200.34-acre parcel at 3000 Youngs Mill Road. Planning staff said the Board of Zoning Appeals and Planning Commission approved the application 6'to'00 and that the proposed use "is not expected to overburden the existing available street system, public utilities, facilities, and services."
County staff recommended approval and noted that future growth of the operation may require amendments to permits or reapplication should the use expand. The board approved the first reading and the permit; Pulliam said the site is partially wooded, already planted, and that notices were posted in front of the property.
The permit moves forward with the condition that if the use expands materially, the applicant may be required to reapply.
