Ruston Fire Department reports March incidents, volunteer hours and new EMT

Ruston Fire Chief Bruce Allen presented the March 2025 monthly review at the April 15 council meeting. The report lists 28 year-to-date incidents, nine incidents in March (2 fire/service calls and 7 medical-aid calls), volunteer hours for March at 1,711 and a year-to-date total of 4,897, with a membership roster showing 22 of 25 positions filled (18 members, 4 officers).
Chief Allen also noted the department gained one new EMT, Patrick Tuohy, and that both lieutenants are now certified as live-burn instructors. Chief Allen reminded the public about the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at 10:00 AM.
