Parish council adopts amended zoning ordinance after vote to change designation

The St. Bernard Parish Council on March 3, 2026 adopted Ordinance SBPC #2718-03-26 (Summary No. 4331), amending Chapter 22 of the parish code to revise permitted uses in business and industrial zoning districts.
Councilmember Joshua Moran moved to amend the ordinance to change a designation from “P” to “CU,” a motion seconded by Councilmember Gillis McCloskey that carried. The roll call recorded YEAS from Cusimano, Moran, Meyer, Randall and McCloskey; Amanda Mones was recorded as abstaining. Council Chair Fred Everhardt, Jr. cast his vote as YEA and the ordinance was declared adopted on March 3, 2026.
