The Vian Board of Education approved the Vian High School Handbook for the 2024–25 school year and set adult meal prices for 2024–25 during regular business on Aug. 12.
The board also considered a long list of district policies and took mixed actions: it kept the existing Media Center policy and existing Suspension Dismissal (Teachers) and Transgender and Nonbinary Student Records policies, and tabled the Released Time Course policy. The motion as recorded in the minutes passed with Thornton, Cotner, Simon and Sanford voting yes and Ford absent.
