The morning criminal docket included a series of probation-violation hearings that produced a mix of outcomes: some defendants were reinstated with conditions; others were revoked and remanded.
Raymond Daniel "Skip" Skipworth faced testimony from a probation officer documenting repeated failures to report and two denied interstate-transfer requests. The court revoked his probation and remanded him to serve the balance of his sentence after finding the violations demonstrated inability to comply with rules. Probation officer Roderick Davison testified about transfer denials and lack of contact; the judge concluded Skipworth had been given prior opportunities and ordered revocation.
By contrast, James Robert Streit (listed as 'Streit') received a second chance: the court reinstated his probation on time served and extended the term by one year, noting the probation officer had recommended giving him another opportunity because the officer believed he could report successfully. Several other defendants admitted violations and were reinstated to probation or community corrections subject to treatment and reporting requirements.
The court set numerous new status dates (August 11, August 25, September 29, November 10) to allow counsel to arrange representation and probation officers to verify treatment placements or transfer approvals. Judges stressed that transfer approvals across state lines require receiving-state action and that community corrections transfers may not always be permitted across jurisdictions.
