Jeremy Eugene Greenwood entered a no-contest plea to possession of a schedule I drug for resale. Prosecutors described a traffic stop, discovery of paraphernalia and suspected controlled substances in a backpack bearing Greenwood's identifying paperwork; the court accepted the factual basis and the plea.
The judge found Greenwood guilty of the single count and sentenced him to eight years in TDOC suspended to state probation as a range-I offender, along with mandatory fines and costs; counts 2–4 were dismissed as part of the negotiated resolution. Counsel discussed entry of jail-credit orders before Greenwood's release; the court directed Greenwood to see his probation officer prior to release.
