Valley Street flood-control project moves forward; $1.36M construction estimate and April bid opening set

At the Feb. 9 meeting HDR’s Chris Korkowski reported the Valley Street flood-control project has an estimated construction cost of $1,364,862 and that about 70% of the project budget has already been invoiced. A benefit-cost analysis produced a ratio of 0.49; Korkowski said that currently equates to roughly a 25% construction cost-share for the Water Board pending NDDWR review.
Korkowski said the application for construction cost share will be submitted by Feb. 23 for State Water Commission consideration on April 9. Bids are scheduled to go out the week of March 9 with a three-week bid period and an April 3 bid opening. Board members approved proceeding with that schedule and to apply for construction cost share by unanimous vote.
