Taylor Park drew lengthier testimony from neighbors concerned about noise, light pollution and traffic; speakers asked that courts be moved farther from homes or placed in a building. Parks Director Aaron Reed Miller (S33) explained mitigation measures — fencing with wind screens and vegetative buffers — and said higher poles can reduce lateral spill by directing light downward. After prolonged discussion the board deferred Taylor Park's CUP and special exception for 90 days to allow additional study and design adjustments.
