Public works staffers Dana Horn and Todd Gross briefed the council on water, sewer and streets operations and upcoming maintenance. The minutes record that Dana Horn was presented an award from the State of South Dakota for 19 consecutive years of drinking water excellence, and staff noted contractor visits and planned surface repairs.
Contractors will assess tuck pointing at the theater and city hall and provide quotes; Midwest Coating Company is scheduled to redo a chip-seal job on North and South Main Street in mid-July. The council was also told the city will paint parking/line markings in two phases, with the business district scheduled for mid-June and Main Street to follow.
