Manny, the presenter for the session, led Shelby County staff through a hands-on demonstration of Granicus’ Legislate Live Manager, showing the three user components — clerk, commissioners and public — and where events appear in Media Manager. "From your home page of the media manager, you'll see the events that are coming up," Manny said while opening an example event.
Manny also described how the clerk’s live-manager layout displays the broadcast, agenda and action pane, and explained how time-stamping or marking an item as active enables motions and votes. Attendees logged in as simulated commissioners to test making motions, recording seconders and moving to live votes. "Once you record the vote and stop it, it shows how they actually voted," Manny demonstrated during the walkthrough.
The training covered display options (dark or light mode) and customization of vote labels (yes/no/abstain/recuse). Participants agreed to run additional mock meetings to confirm settings and preferences. The session concluded with Manny offering to convert and share the training recording and to troubleshoot an attachments/OnBase issue raised during the demo.
