Commission approves employee transfer effective March 9; HR flags upcoming benefits enrollment

The Neosho County Commission approved a personnel transfer on Feb. 10, 2026, moving one county employee from the Treasurer's office to the Appraiser's office, effective March 9, 2026. Commissioner Nicholas Galemore moved for the transfer; Commissioner Gail Klaassen seconded and the motion passed 3-0. Chair Klaassen also requested that the Employee Handbook update be finalized by the end of the year.
HR/Payroll Director Cindy Graff reported that AirMed renewal and sign-up for county employees is coming soon and that the KWORCC premium payroll audit has been successfully submitted. The commission recessed twice into brief executive sessions related to attorney–client privilege on the 2024 audit and to discuss non-elected personnel matters in the Appraiser's Department; both returned with no action taken.
