County and state partners, plus Monarch, credited for financing and operating new behavioral health center

"I wanna thank our elected officials, and I wanna thank the county officials for dedicating what we know are precious dollars into something this important," Kelly Crosby said, noting the state has supported establishing similar crisis centers elsewhere. Mayor Flores and others acknowledged former state lawmakers—Paul Newton, Kristen Baker, Wayne Sasser and Kevin Crutchfield—for help securing state funding; no dollar amounts or specific grant citations were provided during the ceremony. Monarch was selected after a multi‑year competitive process to operate the facility and will carry clinical and operational responsibility.
