The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners approved a contract to provide precinct poll books to the county's election operations. "I'll make a motion that we approve the Tenix Software Solutions Incorporated, the precinct central poll books, and the total amount is $11,400," a commissioner said during the meeting, noting the package covers 76 tablets at $150 per tablet.
County staff explained the change reflects an increase in annual licensing costs and that the current inventory includes 76 tablets. Rebecca, who presented the item, said the licensing will be paid annually and that the county will budget for the increase. Commissioners requested the expense be reviewed in the upcoming budget cycle and confirmed the Secretary of State's office approves the vendor for use in elections. The motion was moved, seconded and approved on a roll call vote.
