Patrick County EDA approves $100,000 payment for pipeline study, elects Overby vice chair

The Economic Development Authority of Patrick County on Jan. 28 unanimously approved advancing $100,000 to Altigen Energy for a natural gas feasibility study and resolved to request reimbursement from the County once the professional services agreement is signed. James Houchins, Director of Economic Development & Tourism, told the Authority the RFP produced two responses and that Altigen was chosen after review by Houchins, Noah Mabe and Rodney Overby.
The board also formalized follow-up work from a Jan. 14 joint meeting with the Patrick County Public Service Authority, agreeing to form a joint subcommittee of three members from each board plus directors and the town manager to refine the scope of a study on expanding public water and sewer access along Highway 58. Rick Worley, Doss Cummings and Rodney Overby volunteered for that subcommittee, and the Authority elected Rodney Overby as vice chair in a unanimous vote.
