Tim Wheeler, the town's director of information technology, and Colby Anderson, emergency management administrator, described work including new ergonomic dispatch seating, an RB Allen alerting system compatible with two new dispatch centers, fiber connections for new towers, vehicle radio system integration and other electrical/fiber work. Wheeler said the upgrades are intended to be long‑lived: “This is gonna last us probably 10, 15 years,” and councilors approved the recommended awards and budget correction as presented. The motion to approve the awards and corrected amounts was adopted following confirmation that the itemized bids and the memorandum are on the record.
