Ms. Stone told the board the funding was included in the recently signed state budget and that the proposed project was first discussed in October 2024. She said the division hopes to put the project out to bid next month and thanked Delegate Scott Wyatt for supporting the appropriation. "There is included 750,000 for the Hanover Center for Trades and Technology," Ms. Stone said. The board moved, seconded and approved the capital amendment by voice vote.
Administrators noted equipment and construction costs have risen since the project was first proposed and said the funding will help advance the planned addition.
