Board waives rule and adopts district bylaws and policies after 18‑month revision project

The board considered unfinished business to waive Board Rule 1.11 with respect to bylaws adoption and to adopt the district’s bylaws and policies following an 18‑month revision project led by the Office of Board Governance.
Director O'Halloran moved to waive the rule and adopt the attached resolution and bylaws; the motion was seconded and passed by roll call with eight ayes. Tina Owen Moore of the Office of Board Governance thanked administrators and outside partners for the revision work and said the updated policies will be posted and searchable through the district’s platform. The board noted nine policies remain under active revision and will be brought back for further work as needed.
No amendments were offered during the vote; administration said the policies will be made live on the platform with the district’s Neola partner and that members of the public can continue to request future changes through committee process.
