Board approves Title I–IV applications for 2026–27 after staff presentation

"There have been no changes, to the applications or how the funds will be distributed," Dr. Payne said when asking for approval. Board members asked clarifying questions about benefit coverage in Title I versus other titles, and staff explained that Title II funds are used for personnel but not enough to cover all benefits, which remain a local responsibility.
A board member moved to approve action item 11‑2021 (the 2026–2027 Title applications 1–4) and the motion passed on a voice vote. Several members thanked Dr. Payne for preparing the applications and noted the administration will continue to seek efficiencies in the application process.
