Commissioners approve consent items including TCDRS rate, tax office donation and jail dryer replacements

The Commissioners Court approved its consent agenda and several routine approvals on Nov. 19.
Items approved on consent included the EBA list, bill list, PCA list, the Treasurer's monthly and investment report for September 2024, and departmental monthly revenue reports. The court also set the Guadalupe County 2025 Texas County and District Retirement System (TCDRS) employer rate at 12.78% with no employer increase and approved a 3% flat increase for retirees. The court accepted a donation from McCreeve, Selk, Bragg, and Allen, PC to fund renovation of space to be used by MBBA at the tax office and approved Sullivan Contracting Services to perform the work.
Assistant Jail Administrator Greg Martin said two budgeted dryers will replace 20-year-old units that are no longer serviceable; the court approved procurement of two dryers with trade-in removal (GC# 14223 and GC# 14224). The court also approved travel authorization for two elections office employees to attend the IGO midwinter conference in Myrtle Beach, SC (Jan. 20-24, 2025), contingent on potential election schedule conflicts in December/January.
Next steps: consent items will be executed by county staff and procurement/purchase orders processed per normal administrative procedure.
