Commissioners approve updated Duane Smith Annex remodel plan after site visit

Following a noon site visit to the Duane Smith Annex on Feb. 2, commissioners voted to proceed with the updated remodel plan. Commissioner Schaeffer moved to go forward with the updated plan and Commissioner Koyle seconded; minutes record the motion carried and direct Tye Thomson and Jeff Faux to move shelving and files in the storage room to the front of the building.
Building and Grounds Official Tye Thomson had briefed the board earlier in the meeting on the remodel and the board inspected the site at 12:44 PM before taking the formal vote. The action was recorded as an approval to proceed with remodeling work and with a specific direction to staff about shelving and file relocation.
