Commissioners reviewed the Ludlow Water Department’s December production report at the Jan. 6 meeting, which showed the springs produced an average of about 484,000 gallons per day while the town used about 202,000 gallons per day.
The minutes include the report language: "The springs is producing plenty of water. It produced an average of 484,000 gallons per day this December and the town used an average of 202,000 gallons a day." Total December production was recorded as approximately 15 million gallons, with town usage of 6.3 million gallons (compared with December 2024 production of 14.5 million and usage of 6.6 million).
The report also notes Phase One of the Thompson and Orion Avenues water line project is scheduled for completion in spring 2026, with subsequent phases being engineered by Aldrich and Elliott.
