At the meeting the board took these formal actions:
- Approved the variance for a garage addition and 6-foot front-yard fence at 201 North 2nd Street (staff recommendation adopted).
- Approved a parking setback variance for M and H Rentals at 2556 Southside Park Drive to add 13 spaces (staff recommendation adopted).
- Approved a building-coverage variance for a deck at 509 South 6th Street (staff recommendation adopted).
- Adopted the staff findings and recommendations for Goshen High School variances (turf, lights, bleachers, fences and signs) with two amendments to commitments: change condition 10 to require "street trees" instead of "large species street trees" and change condition 13 wording to use "recommend" rather than "determined" regarding parcel consolidation; the motion carried (recorded vote on the amendment and adoption indicated 4–1 on the amendment).
- Approved a six-month extension for a previously approved variance (item 2603UV) because plans had not yet been submitted.
Staff will complete technical engineering review and coordinate with the school on tree species, placement and parcel consolidation recommendations before final zoning clearance is issued.
