The Cumberland County Board of Supervisors convened a scheduled FY2026–2027 budget workshop at 10:00 a.m. on Feb. 17, 2026 in the Board Meeting Room at 1 Courthouse Circle. Chairman John Newman called the meeting to order, and Deputy Clerk Tiana Branch performed the roll call.
Because Supervisor Bryan Hamlet was absent and a quorum was not present, the Board was unable to conduct official business. Deputy Clerk Tiana Branch announced the lack of quorum, and County Administrator Derek Stamey proceeded with the agenda for informational purposes only; no formal votes or decisions were taken during the session. The Board recessed for lunch and planned to continue informational presentations in the afternoon when Supervisor Paul Stimpson rejoined at 1:00 p.m.
