County, committee to coordinate on drafting initiation and election orders; clerk clarifies role

County staff said legal counsel typically provides templates or examples from other counties and agreed to supply them. The county clerk, speaking for the clerk’s office, clarified: "She doesn't create the ballot. What comes to the clerk's office is what's going to be put on the ballot... That has to be approved in our office once it's all put together."
Participants agreed the court will provide the templates and coordinate with legal counsel so the committee can draft required documents for the court’s review and filing.
