Save Our Library Committee: seven of eight cities pass resolutions in favor of creating district

A representative of the Save Our Library Committee told Grant County Court that seven of the eight incorporated cities required to form a library district have approved resolutions in favor of putting the measure before voters.
"Last night, we got the 7th of the 8 required cities to pass the resolution in favor of creating a library district," Elizabeth said, reporting progress on the committee’s outreach. She said the one remaining city did not have quorum but was working to address that hurdle.
Elizabeth also thanked the county for supporting the committee’s efforts and asked for county templates and access to legal counsel so the committee could prepare required orders and ballot materials in the format the county needs. The court agreed to provide templates and coordinate with legal counsel for the necessary documents.
