Carson Rowley, project manager with Ardurra Engineering, reviewed the airport hangar procurement June 23 and said only one bid was received despite initial interest from two parties. Rowley reported: "The total bid amount was $2,498,957.00 and the estimated amount was $2,985,500.00."
Rowley recommended the commissioners accept and award the bid to WURX, LLC. He noted the county has 60 days to award the contract and that the Federal Aviation Administration requires a written concurrence from the commissioners to obligate FAA funding by the June 30, 2026 deadline.
Commissioner Paul Galovich moved to concur with Rowley's recommendation contingent upon receiving the FAA and WYDOT grant awards and securing additional financing; Commissioner Tom Ryan seconded and the motion carried. The commission did not list individual roll-call votes in the record beyond the motion and second; the three commissioners present approved the motion.
