The Ludlow Board of Cemetery Commissioners voted March 18 to approve a proposed Lambert family mausoleum to be placed in Row H of the cemetery. Penny Wu presented the proposal and Sexton Doug Sheehan confirmed the structure’s dimensions—106 inches by 86 inches with a 42-inch height—and stated it complies with the cemetery’s regulations. "He said the board voted on this 2 years ago and the family purchased more lots," Sheehan noted when describing background to the board.
Bruce Schmidt moved to approve the mausoleum and Scott Baitz seconded the motion; the board approved the construction unanimously. Board members asked staff to confirm placement details and update plot records to reflect the purchase of additional lots, and staff will ensure the placement follows the regulations the sexton cited.
The approval completes the formal permitting step for the structure; any construction or installation will be scheduled and coordinated by the sexton and town staff following usual operational and safety procedures.
