The Ludlow Board of Cemetery Commissioners held its annual re-organization on March 18, electing Bob Brandt as chair and Bruce Schmidt as vice chair. Penny Wu called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. and opened nominations; Bruce Schmidt moved to elect Brandt, and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also elected Shannon Stark as clerk, designated the chairman as the signer of deeds, and by general consensus appointed Lisha Klaiber as recording clerk. The board set regular meetings for 5:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month (alternating months with other meetings as needed) and designated THE VERMONT JOURNAL as the newspaper of general circulation, with THE RUTLAND HERALD as backup. The board adopted Roberts Rules of Order to govern proceedings.
Penny Wu noted there were no agenda changes for the meeting. The re-organization motions—including meeting schedule and newspaper designation—were approved without recorded opposition. The board left administrative follow-ups (distribution of updated contact lists and circulation of the adopted schedule) to staff before the next meeting on May 20, 2026.
