Ludlow schedules Town and Village merger hearings; warning signed

Municipal Manager Penny Wu told the Select Board that Ulla Cook has reviewed the statutory requirements for a town–village merger warning and that the board must sign the warning to allow public hearings.
Wu said the town worked with an attorney on the merger material and provided the board with a timeline in the packet. The board scheduled hearings in Heald Auditorium: the Town hearings for Feb. 12 and Feb. 26 (both at 6:00 p.m.) and Village hearings for Feb. 17 and March 3 (both at 6:00 p.m.). The board signed the warning to begin the public process and asked staff to continue coordinating legal review and public notice.
