Board thanks county administrator and adjourns to budget workshop Feb. 17
Summary
Supervisors thanked County Administrator Derek Stamey for his service and adjourned the meeting to a budget workshop on Feb. 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.; Chairman Newman also thanked the schools and Camp Parsons for community donations.
At the close of the Feb. 10 meeting, Board members publicly thanked County Administrator Derek Stamey for his work with the county and wished him well on his next endeavor. Chairman John Newman specifically thanked Cumberland County Public Schools for keeping children safe during recent snow and acknowledged donations from Camp Parsons to the county food pantry and volunteer fire departments.
On a motion by Supervisor Eurika Tyree and seconded by Supervisor Robert Saunders Jr., the Board adjourned the meeting and scheduled a budget workshop for Feb. 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cumberland County Board Meeting Room at 1 Courthouse Circle.
