Beaufort County signs reimbursement request #14 to pay WIMCO for Washington Elementary work

The request lists a $3,092,546.40 invoice to contractor WIMCO; Radcliffe said the state would reimburse its share ($2,497,849.73) under the existing Needs‑Based Public School Capital Fund grant and the county would pay $594,697. Radcliffe confirmed Hite & Associates and school staff had reviewed the supporting invoices and recommended the chairman sign the reimbursement form.
Commissioner Walker moved to authorize the chairman to sign and to issue county payment for the invoice pending state reimbursement. The motion passed without recorded objection. Radcliffe and the project architect noted no change orders for the construction contract to date; the project remains under construction with prior payments and building progress reflected in project accounting on file with the county.
