At a special public meeting on Aug. 26 the board approved three resolutions: Resolution 2025-2 setting salaries for Roosevelt County officials other than the County Attorney; Resolution 2025-3 setting the County Attorney's salary; and Resolution 2025-5 requesting prosecutorial assistance in the case State v. Brianna RoweJensen. Each motion was moved by Commissioner Toavs and seconded by Commissioner Gary Macdonald and recorded as "Passed."
Clerk and Recorder Tracy Juve-Miranda addressed a social media post that asserted these resolutions needed to be done in July, saying the Montana Code Annotated (MCA) authority cited shows the resolutions were within the allowed timeframe. A question from attendee Bill Juve about the location of Resolution 2025-4 was answered that it had been passed previously and recorded out of sequence in the minutes.
The minutes do not include the specific salary amounts in the transcript text; the resolutions were recorded as adopted.
