Mayor Chris Dschaak raised a concern during public comment at the Aug. 20 meeting about language in the Justice of the Peace agreement between the City of Wolf Point and the county, asking the county to correct the wording.
The minutes state that "Mayor Dschaak stated there was a wording issue with the Justice of the Peace Agreement between the County and the City. He asked to have it fixed." Commissioners said they would look the agreement over and suggested a meeting to discuss it; a follow-up meeting was set for Sept. 3 at 9:00 a.m.
No formal motion to amend the agreement was recorded in the minutes; the item was handled as a public comment request and a scheduling decision for further discussion.
